FSR Eighty Aluminum Sim Racing Chassis

The FSR Eighty is a compact aluminum profile sim racing chassis designed for drivers who want the rigidity, adjustability, and upgradeability of an aluminum profile cockpit in a more space-efficient platform.

Built around 40x80 black anodized aluminum extrusion, the FSR Eighty provides a solid foundation for modern direct drive wheelbases, performance pedal systems, and the essential hardware needed for a dedicated sim racing setup.

The FSR Eighty uses the same Focus philosophy of simplifying aluminum profile construction, but its architecture is purpose-built around the smaller 40x80 platform. CNC-drilled extrusion, laser-cut steel structural components, proprietary cup washers, and ball-bearing T-nuts create a clean and rigid chassis without relying on unnecessary external brackets.

Built for Modern Sim Racing Hardware

The FSR Eighty is designed to support a wide range of sim racing equipment while keeping the overall chassis compact and straightforward.

  • Compatible with many direct drive and belt-driven wheelbases
  • Designed for load-cell and performance pedal systems
  • Compatible with button boxes, haptics, and other accessories when appropriate mounting locations are available
  • Rigid 40x80 aluminum profile construction helps reduce unwanted movement under steering and braking loads
  • Adjustable chassis layout allows the driving position to be configured around the driver and hardware

Wheelbase and pedal compatibility depends on the mounting pattern of your hardware. If you are unsure whether your equipment will fit, contact Focus Sim Racing and we can help confirm compatibility before ordering.

Precision-Drilled Frame Construction

The FSR Eighty uses CNC-drilled mounting points throughout the main frame, allowing major chassis components to bolt directly through the aluminum extrusion using Focus cup washer hardware.

This reduces the number of visible external corner brackets typically used on aluminum profile rigs while retaining reinforcement where it provides a structural benefit.

  • CNC-drilled main chassis extrusion
  • Direct-through mounting helps reduce unnecessary external brackets
  • Focus proprietary cup washers create a cleaner recessed hardware finish
  • Structural brackets and reinforcement are retained where appropriate
  • Maintains standard T-slot adjustability for driver positioning and compatible accessories

The rear of the FSR Eighty uses a 40x80 aluminum crossmember with reinforcement brackets, while the front of the chassis incorporates a dedicated laser-cut steel reinforcement plate.

Universal Steel Wheelbase Deck

The FSR Eighty includes a laser-cut steel universal wheelbase deck designed around common bottom-mounted sim racing wheelbases.

Slotted mounting points provide adjustment for wheelbase positioning while the steel deck creates a solid connection between the wheelbase and chassis uprights.

  • Laser-cut steel construction
  • Slotted mounting pattern provides fore-aft positioning
  • Compatible with many popular bottom-mounted wheelbases
  • Designed for both direct drive and belt-driven sim racing systems
  • Provides a straightforward mounting solution without requiring a wheelbase-specific mount for every configuration

Compatibility varies by wheelbase model and mounting pattern. Unsupported wheelbases may require additional drilling or a different mounting solution.

Purpose-Built Steel Pedal System

The FSR Eighty uses laser-cut steel pedal risers designed to create a stable and adjustable mounting platform for a wide range of sim racing pedals.

Indexed adjustment slots allow the pedal height to be changed in repeatable increments, while included ball-bearing T-nuts make it easier to position the pedal assembly along the chassis during setup.

  • Laser-cut steel pedal risers
  • Indexed adjustment slots for repeatable pedal height changes
  • Adjustable pedal position along the chassis
  • Ball-bearing T-nuts help simplify positioning and adjustment
  • Compatible with many popular sim racing pedal systems
  • Rigid steel construction helps manage braking loads from performance pedal hardware

Compact Without Giving Up Modularity

The FSR Eighty is designed for sim racers who want the advantages of an aluminum profile cockpit without stepping into a larger 40x120 or 40x160 chassis.

Its standard T-slot construction provides flexibility for compatible accessories and allows the simulator to evolve as your setup changes.

  • Keyboard and mouse accessories
  • Integrated and freestanding monitor solutions
  • Electronics Management Tray
  • Dropped Floor Pan
  • PC Shelf
  • Compatible button boxes, haptics, controls, and other simulator accessories

Note: The FSR Eighty does not include a dedicated shifter mounting location as part of the chassis.

The FSR Eighty supports either the Focus Electronics Management Tray or Dropped Floor Pan individually. Due to the compact chassis layout, both panels cannot be installed together in the full Clean Install configuration.

Designed & Manufactured in Southern California

The FSR Eighty is designed around the same real-world simulator building experience as the rest of the Focus chassis lineup. We build and work on sim rigs every day, giving us firsthand experience with the problems created by excessive hardware, difficult adjustment, poor component access, and unnecessary complexity.

The FSR Eighty applies that experience to a more compact platform, using precision-drilled extrusion and purpose-built steel components to create a chassis that is straightforward to build, easy to adjust, and ready to upgrade.
